About the role

Change Mental Health has an exciting opportunity at Edinburgh’s Stafford Centre, for someone with a passion for empowerment who is looking to use their skills and experience in Group Work to support service users to develop new skills and improve existing ones.

In this varied and exciting role, you will support service users and internal volunteers to achieve their identified goals by facilitating structured support and group activities that allow those taking part to be involved in social groups and to improve existing skills, as well as develop new ones.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate should be someone who has an experience working with people affected by mental health, can work as part of a team, be creative in their approach to working with people, have excellent communication skills and have a sense of humour. They should be educated to SVQ Level 2 or its equivalent and have experience of working with people in groups.
