Salary: 21,439.05 per annum, pro-rata
Hours: Full-time 35 hours a week -Monday – Friday 9am to 4:30pm.

About the role

Are you interested in joining an award-winning Scottish charity whose aim is to provide support to people whose lives are affected by mental ill health? Our highly skilled team in the Stafford Centre is looking for someone with a passion and understanding for the issues faced by adults with severe and enduring mental health issues, who are looking to use their skills and experience in the field of mental health to make an impact on people’s lives and support them on their recovery journey.

Change Mental Health provides support throughout Scotland and offers a range of services to people directly affected by a mental health issue and to those who care for them, whether family, friend or supporter.

In this varied and challenging role, you will support service users to engage with all aspects of the service and support and empower clients to manage their mental health and become more integrated within the wider community.

Who are we looking for?

You will be creative and solution focused be a committed and dynamic team player who is able to work as part of a highly skilled team and is passionate about working with individuals directly affected by mental health issues and those who care for them. You should be educated to SVQ Level 2 or its equivalent and have experience of working with people in groups.

Applicants should have a clear understanding of the issues faced by people affected by mental illness and experience of working in a social care setting.  The appointee will have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to user empowerment and the principles of recovery.
