Change Mental Health is excited to become the 2026/27 charity partner of Edinburgh Airport!

Both Change Mental Health and Edinburgh Airport will work together for the next two years over the course of 2026 and 2027 after winning a staff vote.

Nearly 50 different charities and organisations put themselves forward to be the Airport’s next charity partner when applications opened in October. Following a shortlist being drawn up, Change Mental Health came out on top in the staff vote.

Change Mental Health will take over from Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, who have been Edinburgh Airport’s charity partner over the last two years with over £200,000 raised.

Nick Ward, CEO at Change Mental Health, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be chosen as Edinburgh Airport’s charity partner for the next two years.

“Change Mental Health has been providing transformational support to many people and their carers across Scotland for over 50 years, but we know so many are still left behind. Partnering with Edinburgh Airport – where Scotland meets the world – is a huge opportunity to change attitudes, raise awareness and tackle stigma, and ensure people know where to get the help and support they need and when they need it.

“Through this partnership, we can reach more people when they need it most. We are extremely thankful to all of the Edinburgh Airport staff who voted for us and we look forward to working alongside everyone to ensure, together, there is a future where no one faces mental illness alone.”

Over the next two years, Change Mental Health and Edinburgh Airport will collaborate on different initiatives and opportunities to raise awareness of mental illness and mental health in the country’s biggest airport where Scotland meets the world. There will no doubt be many fundraising, volunteering and other opportunities over the next two years!

Gordon Robertson, Edinburgh Airport’s Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer, said:

“Every year we are inspired by the range and quality of applications we receive from charities and organisations, and this year was no exception.

“The work Change Mental Health does to help individuals and families affected by mental health is is hugely important, and we’re proud to be partnering with them for the next two years.

“We’ll be working closely with them to raise awareness of the work the charity does, whilst also raising money through our fundraising activities.

“We’re looking forward to officially launching the partnership in the new year.”
