Your Resilience for Parents and Carers
Based on our Your Resilience programme and developed in partnership with CAMHS Tayside, Your Resilience for Parents and Carers supports parents and carers across Scotland with open, practical conversations about what resilience is and how to build it.
Delivered in four one-hour workshops, the programme is built around three key objectives. Through completing the programme, parents and carers should:
- Have an increased understanding of resilience
- Feel confident in discussing mental health, resilience and wellbeing with their children
- Feel better equipped to support their children by applying the skills they’ve learned and have a good understanding of mental health and resilience tools.
This programme recognises and addresses a gap in mental health education for families giving parents and carers practical tools, relatable scenarios and strategies to use at home. The programme is informed by research into the challenges families face and the support they need to help young people build good mental health.
