Young People's Programmes
Mental health & resilience building programmes for young people in Scotland
Did you know that 59% of mental illnesses start before a person’s 18th birthday? Change Mental Health’s Young People’s Programmes are designed to reach young people early.
Our preventative workshops and training sessions give young people, and the adults around them, the knowledge, tools and confidence to understand and manage their mental health.
We currently deliver four programmes across Scotland: Bloom, Your Resilience, Me and Money, and Your Resilience for Parents and Carers. Each one runs in schools, colleges, youth centres and community settings. Every programme is informed by insight from young people, teachers, youth workers and parents across Scotland.
Our programmes combine lived and learned experience to create engaging, evidence-based learning. Young people take part in practical exercises and real-life examples shared by their peers, building knowledge, confidence and skills they can use in everyday life.
Delivered in schools and non-educational settings, Bloom and Your Resilience leave young people with a better understanding of mental health in themselves and others and useful tools to support their mental health.
Delivered over four interactive workshops, Me and Money helps young people build a healthier mental relationship with money.
This programme provides parents and carers with a greater understanding of resilience and how to build it themselves and in their children.
