Fife

We work across Fife to provide information and support to people who require help with their mental health needs

We work closely with the community across Fife: providing early information and support to people who require help with their mental health needs.

Change Mental Health promotes resilience and recovery, support people to integrate into their local community, help people to move forward with their lives after facing the stresses of everyday life, develop strategies by offering emotional support for carers, and support those who hear voices to take the next step of their journey.

The three services we run in Fife are Carer Support, Resilience and Hearing Voices. These services in Fife collaborate together and with our National services, such as Mental Health and Money Advice, to ensure we are resourceful, keep support simple and place you at the heart of what we do. Our approach focuses on your circumstance and we welcome you into a safe, non-judgemental space where you can be open.

Lived experience is at the heart of what we do and we are committed to person-centred approaches

Our role is to offer guidance, information and ranges of support, from emotional support to complex issues such as housing, finances, employment, and more. We also offer group sessions, enabling you to socialise and meet new people, learn a skill, or undertake peer support.

We work in and build partnerships with others, referring you to the most appropriate organisation best placed to help you with specific issues. Change Mental Health work with you to help achieve your realistic desired goals and with other organisations to ensure that the support you receive is relevant to the support you need. We are keen to signpost and support you in moving you onto the next step of your journey once you feel comfortable to make that leap.

It’s our goal to make sure you are not facing life’s difficulties alone, especially when poor mental health and mental illness makes it a much bigger task.

“I’ve only been here a short time, but I really feel like I belong. It’s hard to find a place like this. Due to my hardships with other people, I find it really hard to connect. I was scared of people and isolated before I started coming to this group. Now here I am chatting to everyone, and it’s great.”
