Fife

We work across Fife to provide information and support to people who require help with their mental health needs

We work closely with the community across Fife: providing early information and support to people who require help with their mental health needs.

Change Mental Health promotes resilience and recovery, supports people in integrating into their local community, helps people move forward with their lives after facing the stresses of everyday life, and develops strategies by offering emotional support with lived experience at the core of our work. Our approach focuses on your circumstance, and we welcome you into a safe, non-judgementa space where you can be open.

Our role is to offer guidance, information and ranges of support, from emotional support to complex issues such as housing, finances, employment and more. We also offer group sessions, enabling you to socialise and meet new people, learn a skill, or undertake peer support.

We work in and build partnerships with others, referring you to the most appropriate organisation that is best placed to help you with specific issues. Change Mental Health works with you to help you achieve your realistic desired goals and with other organisations to ensure that the support you receive is relevant to the support you need. We are keen to signpost and support you in moving you onto the next step of your journey once you feel comfortable making that leap.

It’s our goal to make sure you are not facing life’s difficulties alone, especially when poor mental health and mental illness makes it a much bigger task.

“I’ve only been here a short time, but I really feel like I belong. It’s hard to find a place like this. Due to my hardships with other people, I find it really hard to connect. I was scared of people and isolated before I started coming to this group. Now here I am chatting to everyone, and it’s great.”
